The sacrifices we’ll make for Hawaii

6 Oct

I know: two posts in two days. It’s like I’m a real blogger again.

So, I’ve lost my passport. Well, it’s probably in a box somewhere from when I moved to Vancouver. But I’ve looked in all of them and can’t find it. I really don’t want to deal with this because it seems like a hassle. A big, expensive hassle. Police reports and notary publics and oh my gosh, why is this so difficult? But my parents booked flights to Hawaii in January and I guess that pay off will be worth it. First world problems, eh?

This family trip is pretty exciting. I think we’ve gotten to the point where we can go a couple days and still get along. Plus my priorities seem to be in line with my parents: volcanoes, snorkelling and stars. Ok, I don’t know if they’re into stars, but I have to assume they are.

My sister will be the wildcard because she likes things like beaches, and because we tend to be the ones who go psycho on each other after 24 hours in close proximity. I don’t know what it is about siblings but they seem to have an uncanny ability to piss each other off.

I’m heading to my parents’ place this weekend for Thanksgiving, so I reckon we’ll all chat about it further. The plans are still vague. For both Hawaii and this weekend. I will keep you all posted.
